About Twin Pines Church of God

The little church at Twin Pines is nestled in among the surrounding colorful hills of white, red, yellow and black, visible from Highway 550 at mile marker 107.
Built in the 1970's and having undergone a minor earth tremor which split open the cement pad on which it is built, the building is a bit 'time-worn'. But the presence of the Holy Spirit is there, and very real. The love that flows through the pastor and his wife fills the whole building.
The two trees for which the area is named have died and been cut down. They were twins, looking very much alike, according to Blanche. Most of the trees in the area now are junipers and pinon.
Twin Pines received a new church building in the spring of 2006, built by a cooperative effort of over a dozen churches.
