The Latest News

Welcome to 2009! A few years ago we wondered if we would actually see the years in the 2 thousands. Now we know that we ARE here and the body of Christ has the most important job in all the earth. We MUST help those around us to see the truth of this current time. There are only two powers to deal with, and Jesus has made a way for us.
Remember, we are on God's side or on Satan's side.Give everything you've got to the Lord and He will make it worth your life.
This has been a very different Thanksgiving and Christmas for us.We are working with more people than ever, and this year some of our counted on contributors have been struggling. The turkey distribution went well, even with about one third of the number we usually send.We also lost the equivalent of about $80,000 dollars worth of food from the food bank. Our contributor of the cost ($12,000) had a drop in their income and is trying to find another sponsor.
Christmas and Thanksgiving were somewhat interrupted by the surprise announcement (after a fall) that Lynn had a broken ankle with complications. After 2 weeks without treatment, she was assigned to 3 weeks in bed and then 3 or 4 weeks of putting about 5 pounds pressure on it.Thank God that He helps us and hears us when we pray.(There have been some additional prayers for an elevator in this 4 story building!)
Brian and Patty, Brett and Penny, Larissa, Steve and Rosalie, Dan and Linda and sons, Rick and Lavern, Tim and Carol and Don and all of us have been very busy this past year. What a blessing it is to have those who are here part time and full time to help.
The minister's training class has been a great joy and continues to grow. Please remember them and all the ministries that are part of this one when you pray, including those in reservation teaching and prison ministry. The Navajo churches have struggled with lots of snow in these last weeks, but we know our prayers are being heard.
Also , please pray for the Navajos who lost loved ones at Two Grey Hills the Sunday before Christmas. They were having a prayer meeting with plans to start a church when several of them were overcome with carbon monoxide.Three of them died, and one (Roselyn) was a dear friend of ours. Also the grandson of one of our ministers died in an automobile accident the following week.
Looking back over this letter, we recognise that some difficult things have been happening, but please know that God is also hard at work in every area here.He has sent help in a lot of ways, including prayer.AND that is what we need right now! Please ask the Lord to reveal Himself mightily to the Indian people and to those of us who have been sent to them.

God bless you in all that you do.
