Pastor Marie Benally ministers to area children in this housechurch, known locally as 'The Whitehouse'. During the summer, she has Vacation Bible School, with as many as 100 children attending.
Roughly 30 miles from Chinle, and Canyon DeChelly , and 4 hours from Many Waters Mission, the churchhouse is a fairly new building, built by a visiting group. The inside is not yet finished, but that does not stop her from using it.
The original 'church' was the small shed pictured to the right. It's roof was a large tarp, which blew off in the wind occasionally.
Another group not affiliated with Many Waters, came and built a storage building, so now the second bedroom can be used as a classroom.
During the summer of 2005, a group from Mountain Springs Church in Colorado Springs visited, and reroofed Marie's sister's hogaan, built a new sheep pen, fixed the outhouse, and did a little landscaping.
